On 1st September 2018,
Bhutan will see the 9th running
on the Tour of the Dragon –
a one day mountain bike race covering 268km from the historic town of Bumthang to the capital city of Thimphu.
Billed as one of the toughest (and craziest) one day mountain bike races in the world, riders will climb over four mountain passes with a total climbing ascent of 13,100 feet.
The race is also considered to be the most scenic with the Bumthang-Thimphu highway passing through stunning river valleys, dense pine and cypress forests, scenic terraced farms and prayer flay strewn mountain passes.
